To commemorate National Album Day 2025, KISS’s iconic 1977 album Love Gun is being reissued on limited edition Tangerine Aqua Splatter vinyl.
Originally released on June 17, 1977, Love Gun stands as a pivotal entry in KISS’s discography. Notably, it was the first album to feature lead vocal performances from all four original band members, showcasing the diverse talents within the group. The album’s production, handled by KISS alongside Eddie Kramer, delivered a hard-hitting sound that resonated with fans and critics alike. Love Gun includes standout tracks such as the title song, “Christine Sixteen,” and “Shock Me,” the latter being the first KISS song to feature lead vocals from guitarist Ace Frehley.
The album’s cover art, created by Ken Kelly, became emblematic of the band’s theatrical style, featuring the members in their signature personas against a dramatic backdrop.
