Limited Picture Disc Reissue of David Bowie’s legendary Aladdin Sane album from 1973
Aladdin Sane features one of Bowie’s most recognizable album covers, but musically it is also a force to be reckoned with. The album followed the massive The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars and is an exciting step in a different direction, adding brass, woodwind, soulful backing vocals and Mike Garson’s characteristic piano playing on tracks like “Lady Grinning Soul” & “Time”.
Aladdin Sane became the last stand for Ziggy Stardust, as this persona was laid to rest 3 months after the album’s release during the infamous last show with The Spiders From Mars at the Hammersmith Odean, London.
